The context
Offshore wind projects come with a baseline survey and monitoring of the marine environment, from construction to operation.
The question
How can marine biodiversity be documented in the context of renewable energy projects?
The approach
Environmental DNA surveys biodiversity from water samples, without capturing any species. The protocol, the groups targeted and the sampling frequency are set according to the site and the question.
