The scientific team
Dr Emilie Delpuech
At the crossroads of life sciences and computer science, Emilie develops approaches to analyse omics data. Her background in animal genetics and genomic selection informs the analyses built for each project.
Background
Passionate about living organisms and their study, I devoted a large part of my academic career to learning the specificities of plant and animal biology.
As methods for analysing biological data advanced, I specialised in bioinformatics. Today I have the knowledge to analyse different so-called omics datasets.
Thanks to my dual training in life sciences and computer science, I can join a wide range of biology projects and set up the best possible bioinformatics approach for the question asked. In my analyses, I use several programming languages to build analysis pipelines that answer biological questions.
During my PhD and my two post-doctorates, I worked on animal genetics to improve the genomic selection of farmed species from genetic and phenotypic data.
I bring all my knowledge of software development to LDgenX, to carry out the analyses most specific to each subject of study.
